its happening to me to - although my sister is on her comp, and my dads doing e-bay on his.. our connection speed seems to spliit between the 3 comps so the 800k download should get rarely tops 350k.. but when mines the only comp on then i always get around 800k - wierd innit?
which in a round about way leads me back to hexus site..

i'm going to take a wild guess at the problem - the BETA bit in the filename - not optimized yet mayhap? i think its the adbanner under the hexus bar at the top of the screen. but agent already knows about it.. so this post is largely irrelevant, but it can go under the 'proof its the adbanner' file on agents desk..

I'm also getting slow responses when posting quite replies and editing posts.
That should be afected by slow ad servers.

i don't get why the ad banner should be affecting speed if it doesn't usually, though.. yes alright, as posting is slow, i thought i'd get as much into this one as possible..

Mine is failing to load on some pages entirely, searches are taking a while and timing out 2 out of 3 tries. Thought it might be the BT DNS servers which have a mind of their own, but everything else is fine, and it resolves forums.hexus.net to an IP (no idea whether it is the correct one though).
BT Internet in the Norfolk area if it makes any difference.
Most browsers won't render the page until it has all the data, or at least up till a major tag ending.
With banners at the top of the page, it can stop the rest of the page rendering if the data doesn't come through in a timely manor.
I've no idea why its so fast here (VM) *shrug*
It is getting better, but still causing issues on some pages (completely random, not any particular page/ad)
It's taken almost 10min for me to post this to say it's shockingly slow!
Fix it, now!
My 3.0mb Connection is running perfectly silky smooth and has been all night.
