    Catalyst 4.1 Problems

Wasnt sure where to post this, but Im having problems in all my games, Quake III Arena, Tactical Ops etc.

The problem is, I cant adjust the brightness in the game! Im playing the games and I can barely see a thing. With the old Catalyst 3.1 I could adjust the Brightness, but with the new 4.1, I cant.

    Any Suggestions?

Got this from the Rage3d forum so, it might not work..

When u go into Quake 3 drop the console down with the `Key ( the one to the left of 1 )

    Type :
    \r_ignorehwgamma 1

It will then ask u to restart, Dont restart just type in

    \vid_restart

The slider for brightness will work now !

You could also try adjusting 'Full screen 3D' from your control panel advanced display properties under the 'colour' tab, to alter the 3D brightness in all games.

    Hope this helps you

That seems to of sorted out my Quake III problem, but all the other games are still messed up. Looks like Im going to have to switch back to the old drivers.

Yup, in search on my old 3.1 drivers, i saw the 4.2, tried them, and they still produce the same problem, so im using the 3.1 drivers now.

Try posting on rage3d forums perhaps someone might have a fix for your problems on there as no one has here, especially since the 3.10 are such good drivers compared to the 3.1's.
