    Surreal dreams

Does anyone else semi-frequently have dreams that they remember well (as opposed to forget after 10 seconds?). I think it happens to me every other months, and sometime, I just feel like writing it down. Here's one I just had (do not proceed if you value you time).

Have you ever thought about what would happen if the world just 'turned off' for a few weeks/months? And during this time, there would be no government, laws enforcement and no electricity (and non stop snowing/wind outside)? I don't think that I have, until I had this weird dream.

Instead of a big party, paranoia became a central theme. I was staying with a small group of people with uneven trust within the group, especially as to who should hold the firearms, and as importantly the bullets (most of us had a 'piece' but I eventually found them to be empty). Since we feared that other groups would come and 'off us' one person was always on guard. Whenever someone approached the front door, the guard would alert a couple others in case they weren't friendlies. I found our guns to be unloaded and a friend/group member decided to give me a couple and show me where they were during my guard duty.

Eventually, a 'big guy' showed up at the front door, and promised to bring us some meat as gesture of good faith (I think that's because I accidentally picked a veggie meal last night). The next part was was most surreal: he approached from the back door with the promised goods. Well, kind of. It wasn't delivered as 'meat' you get in the supermarket, but as live animals. First, he 'delivered a horse'. Basically, a horse walked toward him, and he picked up on from it's leg with one hand and shoved it into our houses. Cheers were heard. Then, it was a cow, who wasn't as co-operative, so the guy just used the piledriver move on it a couple of time (what the..) before pushing it through the door (not sure if the cow was conscious then, but it was certainly more docile - again, I blame it on the meal last night - I thought there was beef underneath the veggies). More cheers. The last one was a gorilla. Not that I've tried to eat one of those before, but somehow it made it into my dream, and followed by the usual cheers.

Now it was amazing how the big guy effortlessly managed to shove all those animals but paranoia hits me, and I suddenly decided check the room with the front door. Lo and behold, in the few minutes the big guy amazed and distracted our attention, a team of builders were sealing our front door/windows exit (possible escape route). I shouted a warning to the others about the threat and it became a panic induced free for all. Eventually, I dashed out and just had to be the one who attracted 'the big guy' who was getting armed (with a not so big gun). I retreated, bunny hopping backward facing him and he gave chase. We exchanged shots, but for all the FPS I've played and his monstrous strength, neither of us were hitting each other.

And then came the anti-climatic ending. After a few days of chase (time kinda went quickly - it was like the fast forward button was hit) the snow stopped along with the permanent grey, the sun appeared and I lost track of the big guy but knew he was probably still on my trail. I dodged into a chemist store, he followed, life seems to be almost back to normal with people at the counters serving customers etc. After some hide and seek, I escaped outdoor, and just as I caught sight of him following me out, a loudspeaker announced that the world was back 'on', the governments are back, and anyone who committed a crime would be prosecuted. The big guy stopped giving chase and we all went back to our daily lives.

    The end.

[Somehow wasn't as exciting as what I'd felt when I woke up.. oh well, back to bed. If you read all this, sorry, you won't get those 5 minutes back. But feel free to share yours as I am curious as to whether I am the only one getting those weird dreams.]
