The ergonomics look terrible matey, i've seen better...
nope, but this week I have most been sitting in.. (if you can't remember the fast show, you have my pity )
you'll never want to get up ever again...
To be honest.. I think it would be a very good Idea. Since people will be rushing into work and not wanting to leave as long as there is a beer in the fridge..
And when you really want to get down to business, just call the wife over.. it's comfy enough.
Probably need some curtains as well though...
These are supposed to be good for your back though it may look a bit like you're riding a horse...
The original posters chair doesn't look like anything special to me, but you can only tell so much from pictures. I've seen some silly priced "ergonomic" chairs in the local specialist chair shop that look horrendously uncomfortable.
My current chair looks distinctly ordinary, but it's one of the most comfortable and adjustable chairs I've ever sat in. It beats an Aeron hands down (I know I used to have one) and I wouldn't sit in anything else with hours I spend in front of my PC.
Pretty much everything adjusts on it from the arms to the back height etc.

hey thats the exact chair I'm sat on now!!
trouble is i'm not very good at putting my thoughts down into written form.. but i'll give it a go..
the furthest lever at the back right, pull it up to make the back auto-lean when you lean.. push it down to lock it in position..
theres a large plastic screwy knob under the seat that adjusts the angle your bum and thighs are at..
the large bar at the front under the seat adjusts how far the seat moves forward and backward..
the arms go individually higher and lower too..
anyway.. the comfort factor..
after around 6 years sat on it, I have no complaints for general sat on it for 8 hours at a time usage, other than the leather wearing out under my keyboard arm elbow. for lying back watching movie usage it is absolutely useless, the head support doesnt support and the large gaps between arms/back/seat bit you find your body parts sliding through them.. and you need a foot rest to loung backwards anyhow..
verdict:
top notch work chair..
crap at lounging around chair..
would i buy another one - nope. it needs more support in various locations, that lazyboy looks better for that..
theres a lazyboy/girl shop 1/2 mile away - i might pop in on wednesday to have a look.. they have the complete range.. trouble is its near the hi-fi shop and I want to play with the £4k nad pre/power amp set again...
besides I have a slightly more urgent thing to spend money on - hint click 'my system'.. should the mobo be making whiney sounds at regular intervals?.. no need to answer I already know the answer..
DAMMMN!! Yes, address that situation first lol
It's a Kinnarps (believe it's pronounced Shinnarps) 6000 series chair. You can either buy direct from Kinnarps (they have show rooms you can visit I believe to specify your chair) where you'll pay around £500-600 (I believe) for something similar mine depending on what options you choose. The 8000 and 6000 series are actually very similar, I had an 8000 on loan and preferred the 6000 when it came time to choose.
I got mine from a dealer who gets their seconds and ex-showroom furniture and sells them on a great discount. PM me if you want his number.
Just so you know, it's not a lounging chair, it's a chair that you can sit in and work hours at a time without feeling uncomfortable. The seat pan goes backwards and forwards, back goes up and down, you can lock the tilt in any position (seat pan locks as well), arms go up/down/backwards/forwards and pivot left right.
The main advantage (for me) over something like the Aeron, is you can get the chair to fit anybody, you're not messing around trying to get the right size.
