They certainly didn't do it for kicks.
I don't see any 'arm in it.
I remember reading at the time about the first hand transplant case..Maybe if it's a case of that or no arms you'd think lesser of two evils, & all that.. but it is queasy-making..The Australian Clint Hallam had lost his hand in an accident with a circular saw 16 years earlier. The surgery was successful but Mr Hallam said he could never shake off the feeling that his hand belonged to somebody else. It was removed at his request three years after the operation.
How long is the waiting list? Must have rocketed.
