both!
bought then installed, lol.
Question! (at risk of looking even more dense than usual...)
What's Teamspeak?
Taken from wiki,
TeamSpeak is proprietary Voice over IP software that allows users to speak on a chat channel with other users, much like a telephone conference call. A TeamSpeak user will often wear a headset with an integrated microphone. Users use the TeamSpeak client software to connect to a TeamSpeak server of their choice, from there they can join chat channels.
The target audience for TeamSpeak are gamers, who can use the software to communicate with other players on the same team of a multiplayer game. Communicating by voice gives a competitive advantage by allowing players to keep their hands on the controls.

So we need some fancy kit then?
Secret Agent look ftw
just a mic and headphones
software does the rest
thats why most "gaming" headsets have boom mics these days.
Well not usually, most headsets have a mic with them. If not separate mic's aren't that expensive.
Its just so we can all still talk to each other, because its really not going to be an option to shout across the room, as well as the fact that, once people have got headphones on, you really cant hear people trying to talk to you.
So all of us on a teamspeak server, and well think of it like a huge conference call
Ok... want to buy me one, and I'll pay you back? I have no idea what I'd be looking for
If you dont have a headset/headphones then most of the headsets from here have a mic of some sorts http://www.scan.co.uk/Index.aspx?NT=1-0-43-529-0
Otherwise just a standalone mic something like this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/79215 to go with headphones is fine.
I use teamspeak when playing IL2. You can get Team Speak Overlay as well, which will show you who's talking whilst playing the game. I don't know how well that works with CoD4, but works well with IL2.
I hadn't thought about that
