Hey dudes,
I'm a bit of a LAN noob, just wondering how exactly LAN parties work? Never been to one before, but I'm sort of half tempted to come and join you all...
Cheers,

Hi Suman,
Come put a few forum names to faces
Basically instead of me trying to explain all the fun and madness that occurs have a read through these f.a.q's from the gameon website.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them up in here, or P.M me etc
Oh cool thanks for the links Rasta. Had to lol at this:
HeheOk, I'm really interested, what do I need?
Your PC and monitor!
Specification should be a minimum of (the more the better!):
* Pentium III 500 mhz processor or equivalent
* 128 meg ram
* TNT2 3d graphics card or equivalent
* 16X CD Rom
* A few gigabytes spare on your hard disk wont go amiss.
* 10 meg Network Card
Well I'm pretty tempted and it is only down the road from me...
DO IT!!!
We need some fresh meat! muahahahaha!
it's really nice to meet new people, especially new ones to LANs (although I was a LAN N00b at the last one...)
Just incase they do follow the non-wireless rule quite strictly, has anyone got anything like an MX518 or the like I can borrow? (Just for the Lan)
I'm planning on bringing the MX1000, but it is just incase they say no
People used to use wireless keyboards / mice at LAN, the real issue is when there is a few people close to each other using them, the person with the most charged batteries used to end up controlling all the wireless computers
None-wireless route yeah I better plan for that as well just in case.
I've never known them to worry about wireless mice etc and I too will be using a MX1000 mouse and have done a few times really.
signed up and booked my place. i'll pay when i confirm i will actually be in the country
FYI - we couldn't track down UT anthology in MK this week... but it is still available at game online who are still doing the 2 for £15 offer.
C&C Deluxe edition, IL2, UT Anthology and BF1942 are a good selection to get - 4 games for £30!
