Yeah, applied is too simplistic IMO.

Well done to the both of you! I remember when I got my GCSE (two years ago), I was out of the country and had to get them over the phone!
Getting good results does not necessarily mean you are intelligent. I know plenty of people who are straight A* students but are in actual fact are a bunch of idiots.
So Hicks12, so what else are you doing at A level?
Why not straight into law? I am assuming natural sciences at Cambridge?
Got my first GCSE.. two years early.
Religous Studies - A*
walk in the park.
I guess we're expected to do quite wellOriginally Posted by Fortune117
Which bit? The subject, the timing, the mark or how hard it was?
Many lawyers I have spoken to (including top London barristers) have said that it is a bad idea to do a law degree as it is pretty dull and bears little relation to day-to-day legal work. Also, I've always had an interest in science and would be interested in areas where science and law interact (medico-legal, pharamceutical law etc.), so I've decided on natural sciences
At StaffsMike; Yes Cambridge, also Durham, Bath, Nottingham, Newcastle and several others are on my shortlist.
The subject. And it's bound to be easy
That counts for most degree's I'm affraid. But I see it like this, it's never going to be the perfect training for a job but it proves (to a certain extent) how capable you are at learning that particular job.
Well im planning on doing these:
Applied Business
Electronics
ICT
Psycology
Chemistry
Hoping to enjoy AB as much as the GCSE equivilant, electronics i chose because i like that area and can get help from my dad as he is in engineering at xfab(microchips, currently on bluray xD), ICT because of the whole programing, chemistry because my parents said to xD but their reason is to pick as much as possible and if u dont like it just drop it which is a valid point xD and lastly i chose psycology for no reason i believe, ive forgotten but i will drop that i think as its not for me (will try it first though).
Hopefully A level results are similar to the results today , need 3 C's to get into computer science at plymouth uni.
Well at least you are keeping your options open. I did Maths, Further Maths, ICT and physics so I could do computer science.
When I eventually did computer science for my degree..
Some people do enjoy it but it bored me half to death.
Definatly learn programming (on your own if you must) before you commit to it, you might not enjoy it as much as you think you will. My limited business studies modules were more fun than most computing one's and I hate business studies lol
lol, ill keep that in mind . My dad bought me one of them books on c++ for my birthday but havent got round to it yet, will hopefully have a go next week . Do have other career options as a backup , work as a business owner(doubt i could set one up lol), work as tech support/pc repair . Well atleast a year free of exam stress, the exams dont stress me but my parents do lol.
I've done a year in tech support as well lol .. Another snooze fest.. It was actually what got me into hexus, because I had so much free time on my hands there
University is a good place to get yourself into a start up company. I considered it and was offered a place a couple of times but the idea's they were based on wern't for me.

I got:
History -C
Additional Science- C
Maths -B
English - B
German - B (Somehow)
Core Science- A
As for ICT, i am guessing A/B's, but no1 at school knows what the marks they gave us equate to, so its just random guessing
I'm going to 6th form at a grammar school and am taking:
Law, Sociology, Politics and Business Studies.
I plan to get into politics, but want to keep my options open with business aswell. I'll probs change my mind in a few years.
