Happy X Factor girls and boys

My choice to win this year is Diana Vickers based on her performance of 'with or without you' last week.

She is young, pretty and you know it is her when she sings. Great entertainment. Can't wait for tonight!

Can't stand any of the others really, it's probably the song choice for Diana that I like most though. It would be interesting to hear what her original material sounds like.

Agreed on the song choice but there is still something very special in her interpretation.

Yup. Looks like the best series for years. And although Simon Cowell is like Marmite, the £££'s will be rolling in for him .

Besides, he is always right. Well, except for the Georgie Fame song he picked last week which just did not work. He bangs on about contemporary, then saddles one of his own with a 40 year old song that wasn't that great in its hayday.

    Thank you Chewbacca.

Well, after last night GIRLBAND are out. Not really sure how that Daniel bloke is still in but maybe there's gonna be a Matt Munro week and he'll then come into his own.

Diana is still my favourite to win because she's young, pretty and has originality; she may also lose of course because she is young, pretty and has originality.

    Best X Factor yet imo.

She is as Simon said last week Marmite. Love it or hate it. My parents cant stand her voice!! I on the other had treat her like Katie Melua. Can listen to one song, but any more it annoys me.

Fair enough. But part of it might be that the contestants are put through an "Abba week", a "swing week", or a "Black Sabbath" week, you know what I mean .

I'd like to see a change of format so that the singers can do more of what they want to do. I mean, it's the kiss of death to get comments like "you're like marmite" or "stop moving your hands so much".

How about letting them do a song they've written too?

Lets be honest though.. how many pop stars write their own material lol

There is a Black Sabbath week eh.. interesting.

On thing I noticed from Miss Vikers performance yesterday (well saw a clip of it this afternoon) is how much she follows the cameras around with eyes and often her whole body. it's not a music video.. the crowd are in front of you love

You mean 'tarts' lol. Yep, there's a Black Sabbath week, a Tangerine Dream week and a Tiny Tim week .

A Director controls the on stage performance. She's not lording it
