In terms of outstanding cinematography, these are two of the most watchable films I have ever seen.
Utter popcorn. Utter class. Uber Movies.

Alien - meh
Aliens - OK too many "Im going to commit suicide to save you" stuff
Alien 3 - She got bored
Alien 4 - Didn't even bother
Matrix (1st one that is)

Simply because iam in it. Amazing film, just great how they didnt use much special effects(stupid drop ship) and yet newer versions did and alot of other higher budget films do when they dont have an excuse. I liked the game and have it on DVD, cant be beaten and i might go watch it now....

E.T. I agree with Stewart, I doesn't make me want to watch it again.. at all.
I didn't enjoy E.T the first time, tbh it was a dull piece of poo.
Predator 1 & 2 were ace, alien v predator had the potential to be great, but yea well, u know the rest...Nobody has mentioned the obvious alternative classic...?
It even has some good one liners.

Say what you like about 2 and 3, The Matrix was a superb film.
its either Alien or Aliens for me... both top class. I also love "The Thing"

Zak's not wrong Stew, given the choice I'd be watching The Thing even though Aliens probably rates in my twenty films of all time. I find it more watchable now than Aliens maybe because I over watched Aliens as a nipper but I know which I'd rather throw in the dvd player right now and I'm a huge nerd when it comes to the Aliens series, books and comics included, t-shirts with "Bugstomper - we endanger species" written on them have even snuck into my wardrobe over the years.nah..you're wrong.
The Thing is purely, 100% better than Aliens. I LOVE Aliens, but if it was on in one room and The Thing in another, you'd be sat in your Aliens room, on your own while everyone came to see the TRUTH in my Thing room
Personally I think The Thing vs. Alien would be a far more even argument as they both play on a more psychological claustrophobic level than Aliens.

I thought Judge Dredd was a good laugh. Stallone's mumbled grunts then he came out with "I AM the law!" It's the kind of film you watch with a bunch of friends while you get a bit drunk with a takeaway.
Mad Max is pretty good.
