Aliens is without a doubt my favourite film of all time, strangely enough I just watched it again the other day in HD.

The thing about it is, no matter how many times I watch it I always get to the bit where they're trying to escape through the air ducts and Vasquez & Goreman set off the grenade and think, "Just hang on Newt, come on! Hang on! Nooooooo!" Not many films have me rooting for an alternative plot that I know isn't going to happen even though I've seen it a dozen times.

I thought Judge Dredd was a good laugh. Stallone's mumbled grunts then he came out with "I AM the law!" It's the kind of film you watch with a bunch of friends while you get a bit drunk with a takeaway.

Judge Dredd might have been okay if it hadn't been Judge Dredd but they made such a mess of the whole Dredd mythology that it's still too painful to watch!

But Poll's are voted on by YOU and YOU'RE WRONG. In fact, SO wrong are you, that if I were you, I'd lock the front door, cos the white van with the nice man and the long armed suit with sleeves that tie around the back and the special needles with sleepy juice, are coming to get you.

The Thing is the best Pop Corn, rewatch-er ever made. With Sheds. And banana peely-dogs, and people's heads sprouting spidery-legs and pegging it across the floor!! EVA!
Aliens didn't make me nervous, not until I'd turned up the contrast on my telly to 100% and shut every curtain in the house so that I coud see what was going on.
And then I was more nervous about burning out the Cathode gun thingy in my telly than I was of whether Sigourney would live or be rodgered by a space-gorilla.

Aliens is good.

The Thing hands it a plate of it's own slimey gooh, and makes it swallow it down, with no ketchup or nuffink.

And then it turns off the silly Mech warrior luggage loader machine and pees on the knee-bow joints until they rust.
