Learning Guitrar - Me & The Daughter

    Hey All,

I have had a Acoustic guitar for some time now and can play the basic chords etc etc but i want to get into it again, my daughter is about to turn 7 in march and i would like to spend more time with her and am thinking about getting her an acoustic guitar.

Can anyone recommend a place to buy a child acoustic guitar from and maybe should they use nylon strings as apposed to the steel ones on my guitar?

    Many Thanks
    Richard

Nylon strings, yes. Your local music shop should have smaller guitars, but if you don't know of any such shops then look in classified ads for a tutor, ring them up and ask for a parent & child starter lesson or something and mine them for suggestions.

A 3/4 size guitar would be ideal. Check out the Argos catalogue, I recall there being a 3/4 Nylon string guitar for £20 in there some where.
