Teen sends 303,398 texts in one month

A Sacramento, California area teenager got a new iPhone and soon began burning up the keys with major texting. According to her mother, daughter Crystal Wiski sent 303,398 texts in the first month alone of owning her iPhone.

Crystal made the national network television news and told the interviewer that she actually gets finger cramps when she does so much texting. She said she has a large network of friends she texts. Fortunately, mom invested in an unlimited text and data plan.

And Crystal is not just a finger tapping wunderkind – she works 40 hours a week at a McDonald’s and carries a straight A grade average. Now that’s being able to multi-task.

Now my maths is shoddy, but say the average month is 30 days, thats 10113 a day. That just sounds impossible, working AND straight A's?

I read a similar thread on HardOCP which suggests that this figure includes texts received - it wouldn't be too hard to achieve this with a number of Twitter subscriptions forwarded to text, spam texts, etc.

The part which is really fishy is the 40 hrs/week job plus full time education - I'm calling shenanigans.

If she really want to communicate that much with her friends, she would be either calling or get a proper laptop/nettop or whatever device that have a real keyboard.

I've never heard of anyone getting finger cramps when using a proper input device.

They don't as far as I'm aware - Vodafone cap theirs with a 3000/month FUP. Or at least they do on the contract I'm on (£40/mo).

Ah well that would make more sense: do they count how many you send and receive in the US? same as they do for telephone calls?

Point is still made though, I haven't seen a truly unlimited plan in the UK.

What about Mercury (pre T-Mobile, pre one2one) they had unlimited calls during the evening and weekends. I spent hours on the phone back then lol.

Funnily enough my O2 data usage is still showing at 0 used, despite me using it!
