The caffeine content in 70 is enough to kill you.

^ To be honest probably not. I jokingly told my friend during the final days of my dissertation that I was probably going to overdose on caffeine before my submission. At the time, I took a 'cocktail' of caffeinated drinks and tablets. I was popping Pro Plus and another caffeine tablet like tic-tacs at the same time as Red Bull/Relentless/Coffee. My friend decided to read up journals regarding the amount of coffee before it's lethal (in the short term), and I was still nowhere close. I don't think that 24 cans (or even 70) has the amount of caffeine to kill you. I am guessing that by 'pack' he meant cans though, because 70 cans of relentless is 35L, a ridiculous amount of liquid to have in one night. Plus, I don't think you would need to drink that much to last a single night (at that time I was closing onto 100h without sleep).

The theory is that caffeine prevents you from falling asleep, but it's the sugar that keeps you going. So sugar free energy drinks lose much of their potency and you may as well pop caffeine tablets instead (cheaper).

    From the all knowing Wikipedia:
"The LD50 [lethal dose] of caffeine in humans is dependent on weight and individual sensitivity and estimated to be about 150 to 200 milligrams per kilogram of body mass, roughly 80 to 100 cups of coffee for an average adult taken within a limited time frame that is dependent on half-life."

Well, there's 160mg of caffine in each can of Rentlentless, so you'd have to drink about 1 can per kg of body mass, so 70 cans seems a reasonable estimate. But you couldn't drink that amount of liquid within the required time anyway.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

The 12 + cans or so I drunk were Red Bull.
I only brush my teeth once a day. You should not brush your teeth after eating sweets as already said as it means you take enamal of your teeth.

Also I remember hearing that 2 cans of Red Bull can raise your blood pressure, even in healthy people.

But bloody hell, I have not smoked in years, I rarely drink alcohol. I think it's fair I should have something. I think I'll try and get meself on the sugar free Red Bull. I got used to not having any sugar in me tea and Coffee.

Once a day, with all those energy drinks? Your breath must be rank !

Caffeine is pretty scary in it's pure, powdered form. You'd only need to ingest a tiny amount of it for it to be lethal, something like 3 grams I think.

You can buy 10g (pure) for £1.30...

or if you're feeling really sleepy, 1Kg for £45.

Anyway, enough on how to kill yourself with caffeine....
