Heh heh! Me too really - but I'm getting better with practice. Still love going full tilt on the piste.

Re: Items that you are REALLY pleased that you own

In retrospect, one item that I am glad I got that is not easily replaceable (due to being produced in limited quantities) is my Grados HF-1. Granted, there are higher end headphones, and I do not place them higher than the AKG K701 that also own for all music. But for some music, they truly are superb.

The Koss Porta Pro also get a notable mention. I still believe that headphones using the same drivers produce the best sound under £25 (subjectively, I rate it more highly than Sennheiser alternatives).

One day though (i.e. after I get a stable well-paid job), I shall get the Stax Omega. One day

I'd have to say my gun too.

Partly because I built it (Or assembled it) myself, and it works well. It's also a very elegant piece of equipment. In a world where so many things are made from cheap Chinese plastic, it's nice to have something made of solid, rigid metal that's well machined.
