Re: Items that you are REALLY pleased that you own

I thought it would be difficult, but others have already listed several items, so that makes it a lot easier

    1. TyTN II - My first WindowsMobile device and I'm hooked. Full Exchange sync (with a hosted server), music playback and an awesome interface with a customer ROM.
    2. Canon 40D - Love it! wish I'd bought one to replace my 350D sooner. I just love the heft of it and the fast shooting.
    3. Golf GTI MK5 - I'm a VAG hag so what can I say? (though I was tempted by a £14k S4 at the local dealer last weekend)
    4. My flat - Cos I've just sold it and it has been both a great place to live this past 6 years and a fantastic investment.

Re: Items that you are REALLY pleased that you own

Canon 400D dSLR. I got it in December 2007 and it's been a fun hobby. I took it to New Zealand in August and it was very useful then. I've become a bit lazy since around October and haven't used it as much, which is why I've been unsure about spending £600 on a 40D. Perhaps by the time I have enough spare cash to blow, the 60D will be out and the 50D will be cheaper.

Lowepro Fastpack 250. I got this camera bag in November after I realised my old camera bag was awkward for travelling. The old one was just big enough for my camera gear but if I wanted to take extras, like my DS or toiletries for a flight, I had to stuff it inside a bigger backpack. The Fastpack 250 has room for all my camera gear and other bits, plus my laptop. However, fully loaded it weighs about 7-8kg which is borderline for cabin luggage.

Nintendo DS. I often used to chauffeur dad across the country to business meetings because of his health and having portable gaming was a godsend. It has some fun games on it, which is always a bonus.

I don't own it, but my parents' Peugeot 407 SW. They got it in November 2008 to replace a broken 406 estate, and since then it's done 12,000 miles, about 10,000 of those were by me. It's very comfortable and a very nice car for the price. It was an ex-demo with a few thousand miles on it and it was around half the list price of new.

Edit: And my Samsung J700 mobile phone. I had put up with a Sony Ericsson K700i since 2004. That one was awkward to use for anything, and the twiddly stick thing stopped responding a lot of the time. I got the cheap J700 in November 2008 and it is so much better! It has a surprising amount of features for such a cheap phone, and it's easy to use. I've been much happier with this one.
