Question Its getting towards results time!

Well i got my degree results today and i can quite proudly say that myself and another member of the Hexus community (NightshadowUK) both got 1:1 degrees

We did a BSc in Media Technology at Salford University which was basically broadcast engineering. To anyone who knows broadcast shizzle, we were taught by Richard Ellis who has the patent for synchronisation pulse amongst other things .
Id like to thank the Hexus community for the knowledge i have gained from you and also the Hexus team which i was proud to reference in parts of my dissertation.
We will both probably be moving on to do systems intergration and IT within broadcast somewhere in the UK, most likely in/around/close to london.

So how has everyone else done?

Congrats 1:1 is a great achievement. So whats the plan now, masters or a job?

I thankfully passed my first year, however I wont know the exact marks till July. All we get is a simple email from the dean stating whether we passed or failed.

Congrats! My missus hasn't done so well so I got to cheer her up til she realises it isn't the end of the world - and she's got another year to go lol.

I do Visual Communications (an arts based course) so I'm still actually going to lessons :/. Got one this Thursday!

Re: Its getting towards results time!

I finished Uni last year, the uni I was at only offered the Foundation Degree of my course so I took that up, was spread over two years.

Was quite demanding, but due to my college course which was a BTEC having a high work load I had managed to find and develop ways of managing my time and workload.

Anyway, finished Uni in June with quite a high mark for the course, to do the final year I had to either go to sheffield or wait it out and see if Salford offer the course.

Decided to look for a job in the mean time, got a job in September. So quite happy atm.

yeah mine is on the 17th of july just after i come back from www.molinolosmedicos.com

Also those thinking of going to Salford; its great fun and i had a great time but the Uni doesn't look after its students anywhere near as much as other Universities.

Re: Its getting towards results time!

I got my classification last Friday which was a 2:1 in Computer Science at Bath Uni. I was a bit disappointed as I was on track for a first but took possibly the hardest route through the final year (for me it was also the most interesting choice of modules). Having said that most jobs ask for at least a 2:1 so I'm all good I get a break down of my marks on 23rd June.

    Congratulations Biscuit and NightshadowUK

Computer Systems Engineering, which although sounds cool, makes more sense if it's referred to as "Computer Science and Electronics Engineering", because that's what it really is
