    Royal Fail.

This one has me one third dumbstruck, one third furious and one third in stitches.

I ordered some stuff from the net, nothing expensive - £2.99 including delivery (luckily, as it turns out). I wake up in the afternoon to check the mail (hey, i'm on holiday) and i see i've got one of those red Royal Mail cards (too big for the letter box), only to read that the parcel was put in...

    ... the recycling bin.

Now, normally this wouldn't be too much of a problem, however this morning was also recycling day. Needless to say that when i had a look in the bin, nothing was in there. I'm fairly sure that it's around somewhere because our recycling bins were the only ones in the street with the lids placed neatly back on with the stone back on top (normally the collection guys just leave them in a mess), but the fact remains that there was nothing in them when i looked. It still baffles (and amuses) me that our postman could think, in any world, that putting a parcel in a recycling bin for paper could ever be a good idea. The only possible and logical conclusion i can come up with is that the bins were already empty and he put it in then (the card didn't have a time on it). The weirdest part is that he lives two doors down from us and normally if we get a parcel, he just puts it in his porch and asks us to drop by later so...

    Yeah.

    Yeah.
Sounds like he's on holiday and you've got a cover postie if they displayed that level of idiocy.

    Re: Royal Fail.

I think this needs a complaint down at the delivery office mate, but if yer posties a friend/neighbour have a quick word with him first.

as to the LHC thread derail, i think yer going about it all wrong Fraz, you wouldn't use a nuclear missile to crack walnuts, so what you are really looking for to split the atom even further is the worlds smallest nutcracker /nod
We're only here for the Banter - The Luvvies - Chewin' The Fat

Violence and Lubrication is the solution to fixing everything, if it still doesn't work, you need more lubrication.
