Never seen any stargates before but should have as total scifi nerd. Starting with this one. So far ok.

Terribly sorry, old chap, but if you've never seen a Stargate before, you're going to have to hand in your nerd badge.
No arguing. Just do it.

probably gonna get slated for this so sorry in advance.
However i have always been a huge fan of stargate BUT does noone else think maybe it's time to put this franchise to bed it had it's day it was brilliant at times but SG-1 was good atlantis was quite good this i feel is not so good and that maybe it should just be left.
I'm certainly not slating you, but I think it's probably worth letting it develop to see how it shapes up; it has a solid cast, and although it may not really have got going yet, there's time for it to do so. Plenty of series have had a rocky start and become great.
You have a point, but the casting is solid, and it'll be interesting to see how it works out.
It's like when SG1 dragged on for another 2 seasons (Ori arc). They should have just ended at defeating the Gou'ald.
Think SG:A probably wrapped it up at the right time to be fair.
It's almost a completely different franchise though, apart from there being stargates, very little is the same yet....I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt.
Still thinking it should have been called "Stargate : Voyager" though....

Saw part 3 last night.
That ship at the end... it didn't look like it was sat on any docking port or airlock or anything. I paused it, and the design looks like a Destiny-style thing, with fairly cyberpunk riveted windows, like the one the senator died in, but the fact that it wasn't connected to anything (that I could see) was odd.
I was hoping that there would be a discussion between O'Neill and the military guy whose name I haven't learnt yet about whether o'neill REALLY put Rush in charge. The senators wife is every bit as annoying as her husband.
Otherwise... not bad. I'm starting to like the anger management problem marine fellow and the medic who doped Lou Diamond Philips.

Ya reckon?!
I dont think the ship was of the same or similar design, looked a lot newer..
I'll grab some screenies later and we can try and out-nerd each other.

Thats not even close to the same sort of design to destiny

i disagree, I see common features in the general baroque, cyberpunk lines.
See ifyou can grab a screeny of the outside of the shuttle that the senator is in.
Time will tell.
