The hamper idea sounds good - let's face it, expensive carries some weight but nothing compares to a bit of thoughtfulness.
What IS she into? Any interests, anything she loves, or has been talking about? Being a bit of a romantic myself I have tons of ideas, but it would be nice to have a target to aim at!
Do a google search for 'Noble Collection' - they have some cool gifty things and jewelry there.

I heard a while ago about a company that would deliver presents gift wrapped with a notice about how they are sorry teh delivery is late because of a delayed stock delivery blah, blah, blah.
