I've never felt this rough "buffeting" or "slapping" as he explained via a normal fan.

Interesting stuff though.

Actually, I lie - you can feel it, but really only how you've explained, maybe if your sitting quite near it. I tend to place fans further away on one side of a room, so I guess the airflow smooooths out.
