Yes
No
he deserves the title, and what a great race.

Excellent race, how many overtakes by button?!
He's been by far an wide the best driver this year. How many overtaking moves has he made not just today, but in all the races. Particularly on first laps.
Having been a JB fan back to his first f1 drive it's nice to see him crowned world champion.
My only regret is that I didn't get to see him win at Silverstone! That would have been a very big cheer indeed.
I feel very sorry for Rubens, his luck failed him again in Brazil. He's driven very well this year.
I think the poll result makes it fairly clear...
Yeah, glad he drove an excellent race today so he didn't just win by default.
Now he could finish it in style with a win or podium at the last race....
Love how you say that despite admitting you've never watched a full race before.
As for the question, of course he is. There are no undeserving drivers champions. Compared to Keke Rosberg's title win (where he won 1 race all season), this is the best champion ever, using the deserved/undeserved theory.
Rubens was especially gracious in defeat too - Button was due to fly straight back to the UK for a PR appointment tomorrow, but the flight was cancelled, so Rubens has laid on his private jet for him... how awesome is that?
Shame the next race is going to be the complete opposite to that one. Having seen an onboard lap, the track looks awful, with the only bit in interest being the pit exit (which goes under turn 1). Excellent that Interlagos is back to being the last race next year.
What a dumb question for a poll!
Of course he is a worthy champion, more so than some of the other numpties in the past.
Although i am happy button has won this sport in my opinion is about the Constructors rather than the Driver Championship as proven its all about the Cars these Days no the drivers.
Saying that he does deserve it though as he has done well through his career.

What a blinding race that was, a safety car out during the first lap. I must admit, the Japanese driver that Toyota gave the drive for the race yesterday showed alot of promise.
However JB kept his head, didn't make any major mistakes and drove the car into a point scoring position in order to further his lead and be crowned champion of 2009
True, but that was probably instinct from the lesser formulas were it's almost encouraged- I remember Hamilton not being that different when he first came through as well. That aside I thought he did really well.
Jenson really deserved to win this years Championship. It was looking easy at the start of the year, but it just goes to show how much can change in this sport. Mclaren and Ferrari finally started to improve, Red Bull's just got better, and the Force India's shocked quite a few people. But during all this, Jenson kept his head and didn't panic (too much ) Was really glad we had a good season, and that it carried all the way till the end (almost)
I've always had a soft spot for Rubens, and really wanted to see him do well in his home race, alas as usual it just didn't happen. But he said some very nice words about Button after the race, always the gentleman
I know what you mean about the pit lane exit for the next race, but didn't get to see much of the full track yet, will see in 2 weeks time.
Yeah that guy is definitely quite crazy! Button pulled off a classy move to get past him though.
I don't normally watch races in entirety but I was glued yesterday! Brilliant too to see it stay in Britain. The way Hamilton is doing now I imagine it'll be here for a while!
Great race yesterday. Some precision overtakes from Jenson and that lunge that finally took Kobayashi had my heart in my mouth. Need a lot more of that, it's what the sport is all about.
Anyone who says he didn't deserve it, has no idea what they're talking about, yes brawn started very strongly, but they're much smaller than many other teams. The budgets for development and staff are an order of magnitude apart, Brawn was even laying people off at one point. So yes they couldn't keep up in the development race, but they started with a great car, hung in there and finished consistently in the points. Job well done.
Gutted for Rubens, poor guy has no luck. Seems to be a lovely, down to earth guy, really hope he gets a world championship before he retires.
Brits at the top in the drivers and constructors? GET IN!
I would really like to know who voted no and for what reasons?
As far as I can see there is no reason to say Jenson didn't deserve it. He won twice as many races as anyone else, finished in the points in all races bar one (where he got punted off by Romain Grosjean sp?). No other team took adavantage of his poor races and he has done more overtaking/pure racecraft than any other driver.
Jenson deserves this almost more than any other, yes Lewis won it but by the skin of his teeth (still very deserved after all the 'help' Ferrari got) and Kimi kind of lucked into his after McLaren took their eye off the ball.
Jenson has been at that team for about 8 years now and in 2004 was 3rd begind Shumacher and Rubens both in all conquering Ferraris. This year, in the same car, he has proven he is the better driver than Rubens.
A long time coming but hugely deserved.
