It cant come soon enough, i swear Vista is getting slower the closer the release date comes!!
How many people here are 'upgrading' from Vista as opposed to XP?
Or are you going from evaluation to actual or what?

Upgrading from XP..not sure when i actually will install Win 7 though
Upgrading from Windows XP (nearly 8 years to the month since i got it - cant believe its been that long) have been playing with the 7 RC though and feels like time for a change and to embrace 64bit to match my Linux install
But the people that are upgrading from Vista do you feel slightly peeved at upgrading so soon? or are most of you sticking with Vista. Seems mixed opinions on it but i spose if it works for you no reason to go to 7?
I am upgrading from Vista and I don't feel peeved. At the decent pre-order prices for W7 it made sense as they are full versions and so can be moved, unlike the OEM versions of vista I am using now.
Not around too often!
Sorry, got the date wrong. It's not "officially" released until the 22nd. But even so, it's not the 22nd yet.
I've installed it on my PC now. It took me about 40 minutes to have Firefox up and running after using Moz Backup. I'm still installing a bunch of stuff that I put in a folder on another hard drive.
What happened about the EU Internet Explorer thing? I know they scrapped the idea of no browser at all, but I thought they were going to have an option screen to choose which browser to use. I haven't seen anything like that.

Just found out Tesco's are sending theirs out by City Link - not sure if they will just put through letter box or its a proper sign for job - no real prob as working from home for rest of week. For those that have received their copy, what is the UK packaging like? is it just a normal plastic dvd case like when you get a game? or is it a bigger box? Saw other people saying they had it dropped through letter box so expecting it to be more like the former?

I per-ordered from Amazon and it's in the City Link van right now. I'd hoped they would be able to post it through the letter box but if it's twice as thick as a standard DVD case and I've ordered two, chances are it won't fit! Doh!
Edit: I went for first class delivery.
