Tall People

I hate being called Tall. 6'1" is longer body length than average, but being called "tall" is offensive.

I'm 5ft 7 and get called tall! whereas I don't think I am that tall ( unless I wear my big boots then i'm over 6ft tall lol )

I'm the smallest in my house. My Boys are both taller than me! Mike is 15 and 6ft3 Luke is 14 and 5ft9

Try being smaller than Tom Cruise then....I'm only 5 foot 6 inch when standing tall

He gets flak for being a shorty all the time and when people actually notice that I'm shorter than him they tend to give me all the small jokes and comments.

I just remind them that I get cheaper clothing as I can fit into some of the kiddies sizes at time and that soon removes their higher altitude smug grins off their face

I can just imagine you wearing a kiddies Spiderman costume to work just because it was cheaper than buying a suit and tie, lol lol,

6'5" here btw, it's awful walking down the street and getting pelted in the face by the edges of umbrellas.

and finding it hard to get clothes that properly fit! jeans are a nightmare for me, buses dont have the leg room either.

yea its great beeing tall in a world designed for people around 5"10 !

Aren't the people that call you tall shorter than you - therefore its just being logical?

lol....I did that in a friends house for years.. eventually, my head just stopped hurting on that beam!

I do this in multi story car parks, walking through them and where the concrete hangs down quite a bit more than the rest, I KNOW I am not going to bang my head on it, yet I duck my head down every time without fail!

Jeans are a PITA for me, I generally order them from the US for the comfort fit

Anything long sleeved is worst for me, can take me ages to find a jumper/hoody/shirt/jacket that doesn't go half way up my arm. Even the 'extra long sleeve' doesn't cut it sometimes

Oh, and 6'2" or 6'3" depending on the day and hunching (hang around a lot of hobbits like Dave )

Zak have you considered developing a hunch?

I have yes... and I practiced ironing my shirts on a wok, so that they'd fit, but it all seemed so... silly.

I get hate from tall women.....I think it's 'cause I married a woman who's 5'1", which makes me over a foot taller than her....
