I have just had a look, and coming down by train might not be out of the question. . . .

£60 return, only 1 train change at Crewe required each way and a journey time of roughly 3 and a half hours.

Someone could easily pick you up at Uttoexeter station

It's not particularly ideal but its more than do-able.

Also i'm sure it could be arranged for there to be a pc that you could use, so all you would need is clothes. a sleeping bag, and games etc.

if this could be arranged then that would be perfect
3 1/2 hours isn't too long if i pack my netbook and use the train's wifi (assuming it has it) or maybe even get an essay or 2 done on the way
so yeah, next LAN, if anyone fancies sorting me out a PC i'd be more than grateful!

There are usually some spare pc's going, Gerrard should have a spare rig, so it might be worth giving him a shout.

If its Liam (not sure I can say his GO user name here!) then I'm not sure how much of an option that might be, 200's arent particularly roomy

Yep, should have my spare rig in a slightly better state for next LAN for someone to borrow. I don't have a spare montior, but I believe a couple of people here do (or did, or will. Can't remember).

Are you meaning http://forums.hexus.net/members/fukker.html by any chance? If yes then he had a bit of a discussion in one or the other folding threads, seems the mods didn't mind..

we wanna go for 15 people this time.

Also when playing on the hexus server did anyone notice and issues such as stuttering or lag on the server. i know latency was high-ish for everyone for everyone but did this effect the games in anyway. also if enyone wants any perticular game servers for next time you just need to ask.

Personally I didnt have any issues in game. I think there may have been some sort of network problem down the line, as myself, Rai, Gerrard? and maybe a few others kept having issues from time to time. But I can't report ever having problems with your server at all Al

good good. the server will be better managed next time and the ut2k4 server should have more slots on it as this time around i did not have the ability to build a config file for it. and hopefullt i should have some new maps and mutators on it for extra win
