Which is shocking considering the state you were in last night!!!

Next LAN will be announced soon - looking like the weekend after Valentines (21st or so) - so get your holiday bookings in!!

Well, I spent my first night in my tent in the sleeping room (it was 0130, and I sure as hell couldn't be bothered to take it down then) and found out a couple of things: -

-It's bloody noisy with an airbed in it everytime I moved
-I can't stretch out as it's only about 5'6" long!

Anyway, taken it down for tonight.

Well, we've encountered another problem here; the Internet connection. It's very intermittent. I can only assume the weather is affecting the line. However, this has had a knock-on effect that we can't play L4D2, as for some stupid reason, if you lose connection to Steam login, it's kicks you out; even when playing SP.

so you need to be connected to the internet to play L4D2? what about laptop users that wanna play games on the move? seems a bit pathetic tbh.

Wasn't just you, ANY time someone got disturbed there was a cacophony (wow, big word for a saturday) of dodgy sounding air-based sounds...

Just noticed that its only about 30 miles from me.
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

    Re: H3XU5.LAN #5 - 20/21/22nd November 2009 - Commentary!

just woken up after a nice 3 hour sleep, i eventually succumbed to the ravages of lack of sleep.

who knew you could sleep with your face down resting on a keyboard - i think i crashed, if thats the word. was awake from 8.30 am friday to 3.30ish am sunday. i did wake up a half hour later and got myself more comfy though, so no need to worry.

lans been going pretty well so far in what ive been joining in with, keep getting killed by everyone over and over again, thats all part of the fun joined in GRID with a few different names, mcplop and K Nob, they were one the wiser although they might be now

not sure what were doing this morning, might try and fail some more at C&C generals - tiggs and guy are alot better than i thought, ive only won once, then tiggs pummeled me back into shape.

the thing is ive learned lots of stuff about what to do if i come again, ive met some interesting people, some of whom have actualy read the feisty thread and knew stuff about me - which was a slight shock, i thought no-one read my posts. the people are completely different to what i imagined them to be from what i've read about them (and google stalked the odd time - i was just curious, no malicious intent intended)

just a few things to keep in mind if anyone else decides to come:

get here early and stake your spot in the sleeping area - just so you know your way around it in the dark without waking anyone up.

bring lots of drink and a few snacks to nom nom on inbetween game rounds.

bring lots of money - the sausage and bacon sandwhich is very very nice indeed. you might keep going back for more, or just buy 2 at a time *looks to left at GK*.

dont drink the 'juice' if you have a funny tummy, theres a perculiar aftertaste that didnt sit right with me.

make sure you talk to the people your sat next to, sat opposite from, and at the other end of the room without getting up from your seat.

if you want a game of something, just shout it out and someone might decide to join in.

get yourself some comfy headphones that are comfy over long periods of time.

*there is plenty more for you newbie LAN fok out there to learn, if i told it you all here, then you would miss out on the 'new experience' feeling of it all.

    _______

    anyways, back to the LAAAAN!!
not that anyone else is awake yet

You can play L4D2, you just need to play on one of the LAN group servers, it think GO's is back up again, but Al's server is still running happily, it's running in versus too
