I was wondering if anybody would be interested in doing this for a bit of a new year laugh - a couple of forums I've been on in the past have done it and it's always been a bit of fun.

It would sort of sum up the last year, with a range of 2009 categories for "Best poster", "Most helpful poster", "Best thread", "Best new poster", "Poster you'd most like to meet" and then maybe a few "others" ones for a bit of fun, like "Worst fanboy", "Spam king", "Most clueless poster", "Scariest mod", etc.

I haven't turned up much while searching though, so I'm not sure if anybody's done it in the past, but just thought I'd throw it out there... sometimes it can get a little bit serious out there and there's nothing wrong with looking over the last year and having a bit of a laugh at ourselves

Flame me if you so wish, just do it in white writing so I don't cry

Potentially, although I'm not sure... it is easier just to have a free vote, but providing nominations can tend to focus people a bit more - would work either way I reckon

And yeah, thread ones are always good too.

My main concern with it would be whether anybody (i.e. administrators, paid or otherwise) would take issue over the non-complimentary ones, although to be honest I'm almost certain that with Hexus being the way it is, nobody would try to use those in a nasty way - it's only a bit of a laugh at the end of the day

Well, the main issue is that I don't particularly want to build it myself... but yes, it may come to that - in either case I will let you know
