Right, I'm clear to leave early from work on the Friday so, in the words of Liverpool FC, "it's on!"

I have had a minor set back.
Have had to format my PC again, which sucks, but, with any luck I shouldn't have any issues with Win7 and my current hardware..hopefully.

What a big steaming pile of horse poo!

    Re: H3XU5.LAN #6 - 5/6/7 March 2010 - Uttoxeter

Was XP, had issues from the day I formatted, but thought all the updating and stuff I had done had fixed the problem's I was having, and then this happened today, so not best pleased.

Was annoying as I had everything installed, patched and updated that I was hoping to play.

At least you are mostly done before the lan comes round.

Last minute repairs @ the lan eh Rai?

On another, slightly tangentally related note - 2x500gb HDDs in RAID 0 or 1x 1TB drive?

I'm thinking the install on my PC is long overdue a change, so new hdd with it

    Re: H3XU5.LAN #6 - 5/6/7 March 2010 - Uttoxeter

Yup, that would be the plan.

Only thought is that once I've finished using them as OS drives (eg something like a decently sized SSD becomes a realistic prospect) then they are tiny compared with a single TB drive I could use for storage.

Anyone deciding they want to sell some WD AAKS 250gbs? That was what I originally wanted but they were OOS when I built my PC. Shouldn't need more than 500gb for an OS drive should I?
