i'll wake up early
Booked myself a nice day of LAN prep time, clear HDD for games, install games, fix BSOD, throw teddies out of pram, buy new computer, break new computer, cry.
All in the space of 2hours.

Arrrrgggg,
Just got back from work (another late one... left at 7am) turn the PC to try and sort games etc out, and it doesn't boot
Plus side, I got it working pretty quick.
Down side, I have at least 1 dead RAM module by the looks.
Not installed much yet, not sorted out the server, not started packing and I've got a full days work to do tomorrow and I'm picking someone up from the train station at 13:00.
Do'h! !
Is anyone's computer actually working? It seems everyone is having at least one problem .
Well if anyone is *really* stuck, bring a graphics card, I'm taking a server... which could be used as a PC if needed (you'll need a monitor/mouse/keyboard).
I've lost the will tonight anyway, watch an hour of tv, get to bed and (try) and wake up at a reasonable time and get stuff sorted is the plan of action! *sleeps until midday*
Best of luck guys, look foward to meeting you all... go easy Rai is the only person I knew who was going I think? (speak up if not! )
Mine works now
Was due a 6 month reinstall anyway, only thing will be installing all my SDKs over this weekend so I don't lose dev time!
Has anyone managed to install Battlefield 2 on Windows 7 64bit RTM (build 7600) ? If so I need some help at the lan to get it to install
looks like I will have a LOT of packing in the morning

Retail dvd.... will try the key on steam when i get there
not on the list so i don't think that is going to fly.. we will sort you out though, must be something simple.
generally - iv found a good way to get all your directx up to date is to download sisoft sandra light, as it needs all versions for its tests it gets them for you

try downloading the directx9 sdk, this solves a lot of problems with badly made installers for games.
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
my retail disk with special forces installs direct from dvd.
