Am I just stupid?

Of all the days to launch a redesign of my site I had to do it on a Friday nite, now normally I feel comfortable doing these, but I had a major hickup before I uploaded the new site, I had three FTP sessions on separate servers open at the same time and got confused....

I overwrote the good copy on two test servers and then accidently uploaded files over the top of the existing ones on the live server , now i am getting my backup I did before dinner to upload to the site as I did hardly anything since backup. It makes me think a) I am stupid and b) I don't get paid for this site so why am I designing it and then messing it up, this just can't be classed as fun

btw, it makes you value what web masters do for sure.....

Ah yes, it was only last week I had decided to a job which I'd put off for about a week. The task at hand was to transfer about 40 songs from one computer to another and then put them on a CD (or two). This wasn't a straight file transfer, I work at a radio station and the computers weren't directly connected, I played them from one and recorded with the other. Saved them as MP3s.

Well, after a long while they all got recorded across. I them had to break them all up into separate files - since I'd made just one big on initially.
I transferred the first 28 to CD and then, since I'd been about one and a half hour overtime at work, I decided to leave the rest til later.
So I closed the files, ....without saving them.

Yipee - maybe this afternoon I'll get back to that, and hopefully I can remember where I left off.

ugh bummer, worst part for me was I missed one </form> tag and it took me 45 mintues to figure that out, man I need some alcohol now lol

I would put 'pay' and 'webmaster' together on a professional level.

Still, free work is fun for the creative side of things.
