I haven't, but I will when I get to see my friends Milestone. I'll either get him to dig out his iPod Touch or take it (and him) into an Apple store to compare.
iPhone/iPod Touch:
• 3.5-inch
• 480 x 320 pixel = 153,600
Milestone:
• 3.7-inch
• 480 x 854 pixels = 409,920
Nexus One:
• 3.7-inch (diagonal) widescreen WVGA AMOLED touchscreen
• 800 x 480 pixels = 384,000
• 100,000:1 typical contrast ratio
• 1ms typical response rate
So the Nexus One has 2.5x the pixels and the Milestone has 2.66x the pixels. And the screens are probably more advanced to boot.
Tech specs, schmech specs. Just because something looks better on paper doesn't mean to say it'll be any better in real life. The current iPhone/ Touch screens look great and that's all that matters now certainly on screens the current size. IMHO there's no point having high res screens as small as 3.7" especially when Apple have proved there's no need for the extra pixels.

^ And that's why, I am sure, Funkstar said he will compare them side by side. Right thing to do if screen quality is a crucial selling point.
Apple has proven to that it is possible to have a very satisfactory screen, but that does not necessarily mean that it is the end and all. We may be reaching a point of diminishing return but I do not believe for a second that you need superhuman vision to appreciate a noticeable improvement.
By all mean, give credit where it's due vis-a-vis of what's available at that price range. But as soon as we become content, we will see no further improvements. And maybe there is a point we ought to be - I mean, we have sat on 32bit colour monitors for years, but I do not feel we are entirely there yet when it comes to portable screens (though it's really amazing when we consider portable TVs 10 years ago).
Correct
And I have to say, I have used a few peoples iPhones in the past and while the screen is nice and big and colourful, I certainly haven't been blown away by it. It might be larger, but it isn't better than my Touch Diamond 2. (Being resistive doesn't come into it).
This is why people not at the kool aid get pissed off in threads like this.
Its very easy to compare these things side by side, but as I mentioned in my original post, its not like with like. The iPod costs penuts to make, it is an economy item. These screens we are talking about cost an extra $6-30... That cost in a device like this is incredibly huge. As such it is a bit like comparing a reliant robin to a lambo, and asking which has a higher top speed.
The point I was making thou is that zak's original post had used words I feel should be reserved for the high end devices.

Just discovered the free Logitech Touchmouse app.
Basically, you use your iPhone / iPod touch screen like a touchpad and control your PC / Mac's pointer with it. You can also use the keyboard too.
My new favourite iPod touch utility, made all the more better by the fact that it's totally free. I would quite happily pay a few quid for something like this - makes controlling my "media" PC far more easy and less cumbersome than a wireless KB and mouse.
A few people on the reviews say that they couldn't set it up, but it worked absolutely perfectly for me first time.
