    Readers Digest gone belly up?

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8520243.stm
    That's the UK branch..

& the USA side is looking at going Ch11 too.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8206360.stm

My grandparents loved it.. but I just get fed up with the envelopes full of a million things to allegedly win if I sign up

Never ever trusted any of it.. looked bogus even though they existed for soooo long. Tacky gifts and no real content

And allegedly I was ALWAYS specially picked.. ever year.... year after year.

gutted for the staff... not gutted for the company though

Wow. My parents (well, mum mostly) encouraged me to use it as reading practice when I was a child. I can't say that I was ever that interested in it, but I guess it still has a place in my memory.

I wondered why I hadn't got anything from them in the last few years saying I'd been selected to enter their prize draw !
