How will people who don't care know what games I've played (assuming PSN decides to refresh the image, which it never seems to do unless I goto the site then change the avatar then change it back & save it...phew)
As mentioned there is still a big ol' blank space due to avatar & system specs/etc though!

It certainly does - though we will give Mods & Admins the same flexibility we would give you guys - we just don't want people taking the Michael. Suffice to say if your sigs are under 100px tall, you aren't going to get any trouble. When they start the scrolling marathon, however, that's when this thread ends up being created.I hope this also applies to the mod/admins

As to the quotes - you don't have to use the quote feature to have them in your sig - a number of members have numerous quotes in the signatures, but they fit because they've creatively formatted them

You could make it another line shorter if you didn't repeat your "my system" spec machine
Well the size of the sig is also dependant on the screen you are viewing it on - for example snootyjim's sig almost doubles in size if you view it on a mobile device and is 2 lines longer on my 19" screen than my 24" due to wrapping
