Smile Welsh 'out of office' email lands up on road sign

The English is clear enough to lorry drivers - but the Welsh reads "I am not in the office at the moment. Send any work to be translated."

I've noticed alot recently though on the bbc website that old articles keep seeming to be in top 10 most read.

Look's like Oid's fallen foul of this one.

Re: Welsh 'out of office' email lands up on road sign

I went to see Jimmy Carr recently and he mentioned that all signs and notices in Wales have to be bilingual.

He pointed out that this wasted a lot of resources particularly because only 4% of people in Wales can read.

Re: Welsh 'out of office' email lands up on road sign

The truely thing abut this story (apart from it being heavily necrotised) is that a member of staff in a translations department would set up an out of office reply that was only in one language...
