This discussion really made me laugh!
Reminds me of myself actually... after a year of having my feista the whole time thinking i had no rear boot keyhole or way to look the internal doors while your in the car i have discovered i do have a rear boot keyhole (its really obviously next to the number plate) and you can look the doors from the inside (you push the handles in)...
Ahaha . Im really stuck, i thought i was going to get the berlin one, i was even on the checkout with it! But then my dad comes in and says hell give me some money towards it, now im not sure between the berlin one or this one : http://www.viking-direct.co.uk/a/sku...552289e266b2de
I HATE DECIDING ON NEW CHAIRS .
Oh and gaz, how i laughed at your post . All i know is that my current chair can tilt, maybe the knob at the front does something.
I've got a dodgy spine, best purchase I've ever made is this:
http://www.ryman.co.uk/1075116001/Hi...-Chair/Product
I used to work there, so I got it for 30% off (£50*70% so £35). It's the only chair I've ever used that supports my lumbar properly... ironic for something made out of mesh, but it's true.
I bought this chair as a gaming throne for my big IKEA desk when I saw it on Hexus bargains (I think it was £25 delivered at the time), and it's still going strong after four years of use - very highly recommended. Also, regarding height, I'm 6'2 and it goes higher than I need for my legs. Obviously that isn't a measurement but you get the idea
Nooo, stop recommending more chairs! Im having a hard enough time as it is .
edit: oh dear... think i died a little inside, it appears viking direct automatically linked me to the business side... i clicked the personal one and the berlin is out of stock and the helsinki is now £150+ instead of £75!!!!!! Im gunna cry . Maybe ill have to try that mesh one then... not sure damn it!
A lot of people on Hexus recommended the Ikea Markus a few months back - http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/20103101
I got the Ryman version because it was a heck of a lot cheaper - very similar design, and I'm very happy with it. If you search Markus on the forums you'll probably find the thread.
Only two elements of damage so far.
I rubbed the top of the back off over the course of several hundred impacts with the sloped ceiling (my fault), and ripped a couple of holes in the seat with a razor-sharp broken button on my jeans (my fault)
So basically it's been absolutely fine
I'm surprised actually, expected it to be a bit rubbish, but the test model in the shop stood up to a lot of punishment so I decided to go for it. The main thing for me is the comfort... I've gone through so many chairs with my back issues - kneeling down chairs, solid backs, sloped backs, all sorts - this has been the best one by a mile. I don't know how many stores have them in, but if your local does I would recommend giving it a go.
Interested in this thread for my own selfish needs, haven't seen many chairs with adjustable arms suggested? Essential in my opinion.
That's the chair I'm sat in right now and I can tell you it is the most comfortable chair I have owned/used!
It has stood up to nigh on 2 years very heavy use and there is no damage at all, only thing is that the cousin bit you sit on has moulded to my rear, but that hasn't made it any less comfortable. Has great back support and the arms are at just the right height for me when reclining. Also I've found that having the mesh back means that when its hot, you actually stay quite a lot cooler then in a full leather back chair.
Can't recommend it highly enough
Rather than create a new thread, any suggestions for chairs with adjustable arms?
