chairs?

Ok i know this is a random question but my current stables chair is on its last legs ( falling apart, pressure doesnt keep it at the correct height etc). So what chairs would you recommend for a budget of like £60? I need one that is durable with some good back support (if possible), along with it being an ok height to go above my desk, cant find my table measure but its like 650mm tall my desk so 660mm or more should be fine.

Any suggestions are appreciated as i really need a new one .
Oh and the chair i have now is one of the executive style chairs albeit a super cheap version.

sounds great, looks nice but might not be tall enough >.<. Is the max height 520mm? Any chance you could measure how tall yours goes from the floor to the highest point of the arm rest?

max is 700mm from arm rest to floor when the chair is at its highest.

hmm, just re measured the height of my desk and its 730mm >.<. Might be ok just like to rest my arms with a downward angle instead of upward. How much do you tend to use it each day?.

So many chairs to decide from... so annoying! Im not to fussed on looks, simple wins but comfort height and durability is the key and im not sure how much upping budgets affects the quality in chairs. I will look at reviews about chairs if theres any as this has to last like 4 years .

Another for the Viking Direct Berlin chairs. I bought another for work out of my own cash, which should say something of how much I like it.

Well with all the high praise you lot seem to be giving the berlin chairs i think i will get one, im moving house in a month or two and with that im stealing my dads desk which is no longer used... lower and much better so hopefully the height will be fine!.

haha, i always been thinking of getting a new one as i hate the two i have from staples... falling apart!.

Gunna put an order in later this evening, almost dead set on that chair just annoying its been cheaper previously . However if everyone really has had a good deal with them then i dont see why not.

Another question, anyone experienced problems with the gas thing? I.e does it start dropping a bit when you sit on it after awhile?

How do you change the height of them?

I've just had a quick fiddle with the knob at the front, and I now have a reclining chair if I want it (), with the option of clicking into normal mode... but no idea on how to adjust the height. :\

pull the lever that you use to recline the chair upwards towards the ceiling, but don't put all the weight on the chair as this prevents the chair from going up.

then to get it down again, simply sit on the chair and press the lever up again.
