Kez is both an online and offline nickname, as is Unts, so I don't mind being referred to by forum name.

I would probably call you all by your forum names anyway, lol.

What's in a name anyway? So it's either for me - it does not matter.

Does remind me of an amusing story -

Got into a discussion on a movie forum once, and being in a mischeivious mood used all three of my aliases in order to stir up the argument (those that know me will be well aware of my argument addiction).

Well on and on the discussion raged, over 15-20 pages of it, with at least 8 participants. People were even discussing the argument and how 'involved' it had got in the other forums on the site.

It wasn't till I started communicating by e:mail with one of the participants that I discovered that she had been 3 of the 'participants' in the argument, and one of her friends two of the others. Things had been slack at college so they'd fancied a laugh... I was in R&D at the time so had plenty of time on my hands

Anyway, to top it off we discovered that we all the same views on the subject anyway, so had spent a week arguing over nothing

real names are much easier, knox and co are all called by their real names in the pub although Tonicblue did turn up wearing a name tag with both names on, speaking of which where has tonic blue gone??

I would probably want their real names if I meet them in real life, but it doesn't amke much difference to me since it's pretty obvious what my real name is. I would get kinda annoyed if people kept calling me Mike underscore W though!

I'd probably go for forum names mostly. Learning two names for everyone would not be possible for my limited brain capacity

Generally, I believe I use the name which I refer to them mostly as. So if I meet someone both online and irl, but mostly online, I normally use his/her nick...

I've no problem being called ether my nick or my real name, both works just as fine for me...
Light travels faster than sound. Is this why some people appear bright until you hear them speak?

i'm not fussed. I've been JJQ, jaffaqueen, and elmo, online for best part of 5 years, so i guess i tend to answer to "jayjayque", "jaffa", "jaffaqueen", "elmo", "fi", "finola"- introduced by emz, or even just "fiona" But hardly anyone really calls me that anymore unless they're angry It sounds silly, but i dont always answer to fiona anymore cos i'm not used to it.

So yeah, i'm not fussed, but if i'm meeting people off forums, as i did last week, it's usually "hi i'm <insert real name>, <forum name> from the <forum> forums" But it's never said too loudly incase people overhear but after that you tend to refer to them as their real name, unless they prefer to be called their forum name....

    I'm confusing myself now *sigh*

Bod is my nickname, but my nickname from the age of 2 so I see it as my name everyone calls me Bod, the only people who dont are Bank Managers.
People have started to call me Devil or Dev which makes me laugh.

If you call me by my real name more than likley I'll ignore you, anyway forum names have more character.
