Tough one. Forum names would be easier since we already have all the names down and just need to attach faces. Real names would mean new names AND new faces.

Then again, some forum names are long, and might just sound weird saying. Personally speaking, I've never really had a nickname that stuck. Galant was a name that came from gaming, not sure where, and whenever I end up at an Xbox or PC hook-up, I end up being called Galant because that's what people keep seeing as they die!

Outside of gaming and here, people know me by my real name.

    So either really.

    Dosen't matter really.

But I think you know most people here by their forum names. So that might be better while talking/introducing yourself

    Ravens Nest
    Guest
I would call people by there forum name, then if i met them i'd ask them what there real name is and if they dont mind me calling them by it.

My real name is Raymond, i got the name "ravens nest" from two places first was an acorn electron\BBC micro game called "ravenskull" and the nest part comes from another game from the spectrum called "into the eagles nest".

And an earlier name i used when playing games was raven as it sounds similiar to my christian name Raymond.

Of course, wouldn't a lot of forums names get shortened?? At the risk of offending people terribly:

Howard, Silent, Raven, Devil, M or MG, Galant, Elmo, Berg, Knox, Turk???

Ha... this is a weird one cos Ive met some of you at Deckard's place.

Some of you were introduced using ur real names and others using ur Forum names (which was a bit confusing as an outsider I can tell ya!).
But to top it off I was introduced using my real name (which none of you can probably remember) as I didnt have a Forum name then.
So - when I see you all again - will I be Honoop or my real name??

I don't think I'd like to be called RVF to my face, would sound a bit wierd. A nickname given by ones peers is one thing but a self generated label?...no. I'd prefer to be called by my real name.

But then, forum names are there to protect the not so innocent so....Hi, I'm RFV500, nice to meet you

true fella.....true...but some of the Hexus croud are NOW regular friends outside the forum...and its only COS of the forum that its happened...

    never been anywhere like it....

I kinda "see" peoples names above their head in real life.....not literally...just in my muddled head

For example....Jiff Lemon even calls himself "The Lemon" on his texts to me

Moby-Dick is now Chris to me...and TiG is Tone....OR TiGster ......I cant call Deckard that as we've klnown each other for 20 years...BUT.......on line and at a party it would cause me no trouble at all........

    Tumble is a PERFECT name
