    Apprentice *SPOILER*

What a bummer Melody got kicked off

Ok, Lord Sugar has a better business brain than me, he's the star of the show and it's his money but imho, he's got it wrong. She's a tiger and there are wasters left in.

I dunno, maybe he did her a favour come to think of it .

There you go see, I knew you liked her too .

Born in Iran, Melody lived in three different countries before settling in the UK. Melody who speaks five languages, helped set up a renowned UK youth organisation at the age of 13 and has won the ‘Woman of the Future’ award for her voluntary work. Global Youth Sector Entrepreneur Melody has previously worked with 12 Nobel Peace Prize winners including Desmond Tutu, Dalai Lama, Shirin Ebadi and was trained on climate change by Al Gore
Fair play for a 26 year old.

    Re: Apprentice

She's done lots with her life, but nothing really relevant to the "position" imo; she has one of the most annoying voices of every season, and its impossible to see her potential beauty through that mile of makeup.

So it was the right thing to let her go, from a business POV as well as from a TV/completely chauvinist one

That said, I don't have much of an inkling about who's going to win this year..normally by now it's fairly obvious but this time i'm not so sure..

    Re: Apprentice

I took a particular dislike to Melody in the episode where they went to Paris and she selfishly hogged the appointments and sales (aside from the one she let the other team have, but only after she noticed she was out of time). She was also very single minded about not getting the bag despite the fact that most people she spoke to said it was a good idea. And though Lord Sugar praised that selfish attitude, she completely crashed in my esteem at there and then.

My favourites for the final 4 (in no particular order) are Jim, Susan, Tom and Helen. So all it would take is for Natasha to get fired next and I'd be quite satisfied regardless of who wins. After going downhill recently, Jim seems to be back this week. I like Susan and Tom simply because they are amongst the more honest, less manipulative contestants. Tom has had fewer nonsense moments than Susan, but I rate Susan's business acumen higher (and I think she has better chance than Tom if they both make it to the final 4). I only started noticing Helen after Jim lost some of his Jedi powers and as my esteem for Jim dipped, my esteem for Helen rose. Oddly, this week it went the other way again, I have to take away to points from Helen and give it back to Jim. At the moment, I think that Helen is more likely to win, but I think it depends on whether she can recover next week.

And I rather suspect that Lord Sugar already knows the results before being told by Nick and Karen. £100 off is round but still pretty random, I was quite sure that it wouldn't be enough to change the result (would've been quite controversial if it did). And I also noticed that whenever there is a record breaking result, it is announced second.

That and mistranslating to get her own way (unless the official subs were wrong) whilst ignoring the direct mandate to research the major buyers which had been arranged. Unforgivable, should've went there and then. She went out of her way on that task and the one after [baking] to sabotage the things she didn't like.

Susan is the dark horse (even if she does seem dim as hell at times) I reckon, Helen made a major mistake this week and Jim...I don't know...the editing may be too crafty for me.

I'd like to see Tom win, but he needs to harden up and bloody quickly, he's too nice to people.

    Re: Apprentice

Tom? That chinless wonder? I wouldn't have him on a till at Tesco's. He has zero personality and his creativity is laughable. "I'm gonna make a biscuit with a biscuit in the middle". ROAR!

Jim? Wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him; he is a duplicitous get. Watch your backs when that conniving sod is around.

Helen? Got lucky to be on the winning teams and is starting to believe her successes have been something other than luck. Now she's bad-mouthing others she's starting to look cheap and ordinary,

Natasha? No. Just no. It's all wrong. The vacuous one who has sneaked under the radar.

Susan? Has been poorly treated by virtually everyone and although she's made protestations, she should not have allowed herself to be bullied. But the only one I'd trust in the remaining heap.

Lordi Sugar embarrassed himself by letting the best candidate (Melody) go. She oozes success through drive and capability. Sure, she winds up some people because she's also a looker, but you can't let that influence you either way.

Nothing to watch on Wednesday now.

    Re: Apprentice

@roachcoach: If I remember correctly, the subs were pretty much spot on. That's what I meant by "single minded" - she basically told the rest of the team what she thought was needed to get everything her way. During the show, the word "Team" appear to be missing from her vocabulary. She has shown a bit of humility during "You're fired", as was the case with Zoe last week (another contestant I disliked until their appearance in "You're fired"), they may yet be able to change for the better (I am still not sure if The Apprentice brings out the worst of the contestant or their true selves - but for their own sake hopefully they'll learn).

I was convinced she'd go at the end of this week's task, though I was a bit worried by Tom's defence in the boardroom which wasn't great. I didn't see how he was naughty (referring to Helen's comment when they got back). Everything was kept relatively over the belt (compared to other instances anyway).

    Re: Apprentice

I'm glad Melody is gone, she's just so annoying to watch/listen to because she's so loud. I feel like the only one that doesn't like Susan. She reminds me of a whining little girl because she seems to say "That is soooo unfair" every episode.

    Re: Apprentice

Open Request to his Lordi the Sir Worshipfullness Alan Sugar:

Please bring back Melody or I will start a "Rage Against the Dismissal of the Melody Machine" campaign.

It would be a programme first. Think of the publicity; bringing her back is a shrewd business move.
