just wondering something having seen lynni's thread, and this is as much for the guys that come here as the ladies.
blokes: do you buy your girlfriend/wife/significant other underwear at all? reasons?
girls: how would you feel if your boyfriend/husband/significant other bought you underwear? nice gesture as a sort of 'this is what i want you to wear' thing or do you react in a 'how dare you tell me what to wear' attitude...
and do you return the favour [of course with less frilly bits and thong-type structure!]

personally if i see something nice - and lets get this straight, I DON'T hang around the lingere section of M&S... - i would actually get it for my g/f cause I know she'll like it, and i've been right every time so far (in her words 'a girl can never have too many pants'...to which I reply smuggly 'next time i'll be more careful with my teeth then'...!!). so just wondering what people's thoughts are;
too sacred for the 'other' to pick out or trust their judgement

I would trust my mans judgement, we have been together 13 months now - we know each other pretty well in that department and i would think he wouldnt get me anything that i wouldnt like....

Underwear is a lovely present....just as long as you get the right size and not a size too big! We get very offended if we are a size 12 (for example) and we are then bought a size 14/16! If you're really not sure what size your lady is, go for a small size like a 10. Chances are they might have to be exchanged but your lady will love you for the compliment (that is of course, if she is bigger than a 10!)

But it's a notoriously hard thing to buy imo. What a woman sees as pretty/sexy is often as not so different to what a man does.
