Gotta admit, I missed the first 15mins and was utterly dismayed when I tunred on to see England 1-0 down...

Still, they came back in fine style, the boy wonder, Rooney, did good.

I was chuffed to see Scholes break his duck at last, the lad deserves that goal as much as anyone, he's gotta be one of the hardest workers the team has, certainly so for that match.

Rooney's first goal, where he paused to let Owen get onside showed a maturity way beyond his age, I reckon that was perhaps more impressive than his second goal.

I was well pleased to see Lampard bang one in. As soon as he started his run I said to the missus that he was going to have a crack... a great goal.

Gerrard has bounced back well after the France game, his little touch across the box to try and let Owen score was a sign to me that the players have gelled as a team, he was unselfish in trying to let Owen get a goal in the tournament.

Now, was I the only one properly bricking it that Sven would bring that lumbering accident zone Heskey on? Everytime they started talking about making a switch I was uttering the mantra "Not Heskey, not Heskey, not Heskey, not Heskey, not Heskey." It seems to have worked as we held onto the lead and got out of the group...

I reckon if England play against Portugal like they did for the last 3/4 of the Croatia match with some positive passing and probing runs, we'll have a very strong game which we'd find hard to lose.

Great game.We had everything last night.Passion,tackles,interceptions,good passing,good posession,and we looked as though we really wanted it for a change..
I was mortified after going 1-0 down but after about 20 mins i knew that we would win.It was just a matter of time before we scored.I can't believe that Rooney is just 18.He took those goals like a mature striker,never panicked and new what he was going to do..Hope he keeps it up.I thought Terry and Campbell were outstanding at the back.Neville had a good game as well.Gerrard came alive last night he was another to put in a world class performance.We will be up for the Portuguese on thursday.This will have got wor lads rockin.Imagine what we would be like if Beckham and Owen put in a world class performance as well.Must be saving themselves for thursday...I hope.

yeah it was a great game, and i was well pleased for Scholes, i love that player... class act just had a bad run for England... No, you were most definitely not he only one. I was chanting similar, albeit with a little more swearing!

Being an Everton supporter I have seen quite a lot of Rooney this season and when he set off on his run from our 18 yard box I really thought he was gonna do the whole team and score goal of the tournament. I was even more impressed when he carried on sprinting, to only just miss the ball as the keeper cleared, he was VERY close then!

I mishead the commentator and saw a large black man on the touch lines....
I screamed at the top of my lungs; "No not F***ing Heskey" only to see it was Vassel and have EVERYBODY in the pub laugh at me. Not fair.
I thought Owen played really well, I've noticed his game's matured now, he's a LOT less greedy (Even though he passed at the wrong time at times). Becks was marked/fouled out of the game, but still played solidly. He just always seems to be "There" which is a good thing. Campbell again played a blinder, am I the only one thinking we could really do with Rio? and that King should have kept Terry's place?

Very impressed with our performance last night, looked in control right from the start. Campbell was very very good last night and I thought A.Cole really helped on the left bursting forward.

Looking forward to Thursday, just so long as we can handle Ronaldo and not give to many free kicks away, I think we will out play them.
