...a tough tournament ahead. First Portugal, and then probably Sweden, with a final showdown against France, and a chance to put them down for good.
You have to know Portugal are going to come into this game fired up - all or nothing. Figo needs to be locked down, as does Ronaldo, but our boys can take them. I'd like to see England go into it with just as much determination and attack as they did against the Croats.
Sweden have played well right through and with a lot of fire. Dark horse of the tournament, but I think if we defeat a determined Portugal to get through then the boys will know they haven't just fluked it, and we'll ride the Swedish horsie all the way to the final.
Then we have France, and sheer poetry determines that we win against them after a tough fight. With two hard games under our belts we'll have proved ourselves, gained endurance, and determination and balance. Put the stupid errors behind ourselves, and the Lions will be out to hunt and to fight.
Leaving the blues uniform in shreds, the trophy will be held high.
Finally.
