London about to kick off again?

Apparently dogs and shields are coming out at Occupy London protest outside St. Paul's and Jody MacIntyre is stirring the pot as usual(seriously why hasn't that prat been arrested for inciting this stuff). 3 nicked already.

Police are saying there's no major disorder, but they also said that wasn't a riot the other month.

LOL outside st. pauls to protest against the bankers.

That shows just how little the protesters know about any of the corporate banks

Looks like the whole of Europe/Western world could go this time to some degree. See there have been violent disturbances at a similar demonstration in Rome.

Or maybe the police are less likely to use heavy-handed tactics outside a cathedral?

Heavy-handed tactics?????? I assume you would be happy to let some mindless yobs or so called peaceful protesters run amok ? Frankly if you start causing trouble and don't listen to the police, then its your own fault.

As for these protests against bankers what will it achieve ? I mean the politicians have failed to tackle them properly!

No, still the same city of london police, rather than the met ones.

Plus whilst there are some police thugs, there are plenty of protestors who are just as bad.

Politicians are part of the problem, that's why they have failed.

Ah you see if they were blocked from the city, their location makes a little more sense.

Without getting in to too much detail, its not a good location, the closest of any size worth talking about is the UK arm of GS, and there are better locations for protests they are closer too.

Perhaps no one wants to protest in canary wharf, its a bucket.

Greed made the politicians a problem. Care to revisit the second statement and have a wee rethink about the first?

You seem to be forgetting about the entirely innocent people who have been in the wrong place at the wrong time, like Ian Tomlinson who was unlawfully killed for doing nothing wrong. As we have seen in the past, not being a yob hardly seems to matter.

    Are you kidding?
You think for one second that politicians aren't as corrupt as those in the banks? The last few years have been nothing but scandal after scandal from all sides. The politicians can't even look after their own flock, never mind sort out the global banks.

Make no mistake Aled, if there is a "revolution" or any major changes in this country in regards to banks, it'll be the people that start it with pressure on the politicians, not the politicians deciding that it's time to act. As has been proved time and time again, they simply do not have the ability to look after themselves without corruption.

Re: London about to kick off again?

I agree with what Agent said.

I also agree with a lot of what the anti establishment crowd have to say. But they seem to be fighting a losing battle. Due to the political system in this country parties that want to bring reform can't get enough funding to become mainstream, because they don't have rich wealthy backers. Catch 22
