Need some advice for a Work Project

I didnt know where to post this so Ive put it in here (if there is a more appropriate place can a Lovely Mod move it please??)

Ok, so my Financial Controller has put me in charge of researching and implementing a new Management Accounts package - which is lovely, except I havent got a clue where to start looking for the aforementioned system!

Can anyone give me any pointers of companies and websites where I can go to do some research into the packages/systems that are available as Im at a complete loss?
I need to 'do good' with this project so any advice anyone can give will be a great help.

Intuit do some of that sort of stuff if I remember correctly.

I don't know how well American programs are suitable for UK use (different tax systems etc.)
