    DOH! - The Sequel!

    Now some of you will have read "DOH!" about the idoit and his bult in VCR TV... but this couple beat that by miles....

    Yes, this time there are two of them, both equally as stupid as each other.

    I'm doing a bit of shopping, prior to doing a demo today and I take a stroll down our seasonal aisle, which, it being summer, is full of barbeque and football stuff.

    I over hear this couple, discussing the merits of our disposable barbeques.

    He is holding up the larger 'party' barbeque while she has two of the small ones.

    Him:"Let's get this one, its got chops on it too.."
    Her:"Yeah, but we wouldn't eat all that in one go"
    Him:"Yeah, but this has mushrooms too"
    Her:"I don't like mushrooms... this one has tomatoes, I don't like them either..."

    After a second I realise that they are looking at the pictures on top of these things. The pictures show food cooking on the barbeques and these two Einsteins think that the food comes part and parcel of the barbeque!

    I stroll over, a SLIGHT grin on my face....

    Me:"Excuse me... erm, they don't come with the food, you know.... The picture is just an illustration... to show you what you can do with them, kind of thing..."
    Both, (very disappointed):"Oh... so there's nothing with them?"
    Me:"No, just the charcoal... you use it the once and throw it away"
    Him:"Oh... I THOUGHT it was a bit cheap for all that food...."
    Me:"Don't worry, lots of people think the same too... " (AN ABSOLUTE LIE!!)
    Her:"You'll laugh at this... I bought three last week..... I've put them in the freezer!"

    After reading these I feel an urge to go read The Darwin Awards again.

    Case with a bit missing but it's only superficial.

    There are a remarkable number of stupid people who manage to survive.

    I get people on the phone with (allegedly) broken boilers. They've run the company I work for, so I ask, "what model boiler have you got?"

    They say "[Company Name]"

    I'm thinking "Well done, it makes sense that rung us then!"

    And say "good, but what model?"

    You know the call might take a while... And you need divine assistance when the model is "white, hung on the wall in the kitchen" or "gas."
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Well its not so much a question of being stupid as of being ignorant.
    I know someone who, in the second year of his engineering degree, believed that train drivers had to steer their trains along the track.

    And thats not a joke.

    Deckard, you legend. I've just driven all the way back from Docklands (after watching the match) via the sodding Rotherhithe tunnel on a right downer, and at a stroke you've cheered me right back up again- my wife too. Cheers
