I think I've been misunderstood here. I was referring to the video of the dog attacking the officer.

I would hit the dog with my batton, if I had one and it was attacking me.

As for the dog... I'd be more scared of cracking a team mate with a baton trying to subdue it as I would anything tbh although to me it looked like they were just scared until the men with guns arrived :/
