I don't believe that I am the best, but I try as hard as I can, and keep pushing myself, much like my boxing, where's the harm in that? I'd prefer to aim to be the top and fail, than be content with being average. but that said, my band has a development deal, and as Trev will no doubt agree, these don;t fall out of trees.
I didn't say you'd said it, i said that you thought it, if you don't then fine but thats the opnion i've gained of you from here and from meeting you.

I probably am insecure yes, being bullied from the age of 3 will do that to a person, one of the few things i regret then is not realising that i was better than the people who did that too me, and still am, when its drilled into from the age of 3 that your a fat weakling who amounts to sh*t in the world you start to believe it.

Shows your a bigger man than i thought you were, I thought that like so many other people i know would've done you'd dismissed it and moved on to another argument.

it's funny how I don't get along with my "own people".

I was bullied all the way through primary school and half way through secondary school, AND at home by my big brother (one hell of a tough bastard) no escape for me. My way of dealing it was to train myself to a state where I could kick the rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish out of nearly anyone, and act as confident as possible, these people know your weaknesses, they can smell what you're uptight about. So act like you're not, act like you love you and they can't get to you. That's where the *Arrogance* comes from, mate it's a huge front, I'm as insecure as the next person, probably more so, but I do have confidence in two things, my music, and my fighting, the only things I've had to rely on, and I haven't been let down yet. It's funny, I actually think this is the first time I've publically said this. Lol. It only took 18 years.

I gave up on being bullied when i started college, i decided i'd had enough, because i realised that i had the size and strength advantage over 90% of the population. 6 ft 2 and around the 19/20 stone mark and the ability to bench about 130kg when i was 15, only one person i know even comes close to equalling me.

That is the only thing i have confidence in , i know it can never leave me.

    Who are my people?
People who had it the same as me at school.
Like Trev, Wilkes-he had loads of rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish till G.Dave came along...
Always, always remember size and strength add up in a fight but being big and strong doesn't mean you can fight. At all...
    trev will agree with this...
Chris Baker.... 6 ft something and about 16 stone. I saw him get lamped by a 5" 5 bloke (Chris Dixion) completely.
And I think I'm pretty ****ing strong, I can't remember losing many arm wrestles, and remember out benching my pe teacher (rambo) in year 10.....
Don't believe in benching anymore, I just punch bag. It's double the workout, I'd recomend it.

Size and strength may not add up to winning, but i've only lost one fight in my life (mind you not been in that many).

P.E teacher was the only person able to spot me, he could only bench 125kg, it killed him that the fat kid was stronger.

I've seen big guys get beaten aswell, but they tend to be complacent, small people have always got something to prove against big guys so they go in all guns blazing.

Was gonna get a punch bag a few months back, but got no-where to put the thing except outside.

bedroom, find a loft beam, that's what I did, before that I got my mates to hold it while I layed into it, but they keep complaining that I hit too hard?!?
(I reminded them that was the idea.)
Small people have what I like to call Napoleon Syndrome, they feel they have something to prove.
Tall people have what I like to call Illusions of granduar, they think because they are taller, they are instantly more powerful/skilled/stronger.

I've lost a few fights 1 to Sam Timmis (World under 18 kick boxing champion) and the other 2 or 3 were 6 or so on one....probably my fault for standing my ground and fighting tho.

    Not so.

Going in "All guns blazing" is the easiest way to lose a fight, anyone who loses their temper also loses what techique they had....I've seen it happen to professionals, wild angry swings drain you and are easier to see/dodge/block. I never lose my rag in a fight, I do that before the fight!
