    Mobile Phone Insurance

Could someone clear this one up for me!

I have been with o2 for a year nearly on a £25 and £5 insurance contract, so it will be time to recieve a new mobile in the next month, and I would rather sell it and have the money.
But if I still have the contract with the insurance and I need to make a claim, will it still be valid on the phone I will have?

It should cover you for whatever phone is on the contract..
I never bother with the insurance, you're usually almost paying what a new phone costs anyway

if u buy from the carphone warehouse the insurance allows u to terminate the contract early w/o paying the rest of the year im using that tomorrow when i cancel me spv e200 and get the brand new spv c500 cant wait. 3x better battery, faster (200mhz) and hell of a lot smaller. finally a smartphone to rival the size of normal phones, with a nice size screen too.

Depends on if they transfer the insurance to your new handset or not. Sometimes this is done automatically, sometimes you have to agree to it. Best thing to do is just call them and ask them. Different insurance companies have different policies; but you're better off sorting it now, otherwise something will happen and they'll manage to wriggle out of settling a claim
