    So you do agree with Lowe then. As he said, you go along and you have a go. I do not ever recall one beginner joining our club and being able to train with high or senior grades, because we would injure them. Much in the same way as issues would arise in your example. Beginners learn basic techniques, improve stamina, breathing etc. If people are interested they progress and the belt system offers them something to aim for and offers the opportunity to learn new techniques.

    Everyone has to start somewhere. Oh and TiG, I will guarentee that you will go for belts, you will want to eventually. I was exactly the same, it becomes a challenge. Also, there is only so much they will teach you without progressing through the syllabus.
