Port, Port and Port, plenty of cheese too.

For the wine, well we're having rib of beef this year, because my parents friends geese aren't available. So probably a good malbec.

I'll then have a little bit of whisky, I'm think old pultney 17yr.

    Maybe some coniac afterwards.

Normally a Scotch drinker, Bourbon always reminds me of Christmas.

Mulled cider & mulled wine whenever possible. The only time of year it's really available and quite a few pubs/bars do one, the other, or both. Just picked up a bottle of Heston's Mulled Cider from Waitrose for home consumption too!

Im not much of drinker , but I do love Jagerbombs ( gross eh ? ) and raspberry beer in moderation .

Baileys is another drink I like a lot too .

Not into liquors esp straight and have been in too few bars or clubs to ever experiment or try more .

Anything with redbull in it usually tastes ok though .

Re: Favourite alcohol ? for Xmas ?

dads got some homebrew in the shed, 6 year matured stuff.

the bottle that fell out the cupboard and stained the floor, still smells a bit fermented, it dropped out 4 years ago. this stuff is potent.

and its one of the theories of why my dad had to have his kidney removed

and heres 2 for CAT to try

Nowt. Don't drink. Which probably explains why I can do a first class duplication of the Grinch at this time of year.

Will probably stay off the booze this year. Training hard at the gym loosing my fatty bits and don't wanna put it all back on.

Being on call over the xmas period doesn't help.

If I would, it would probably be Coors Light. Stuff goes down like an Dutch Hooker.

Re: Favourite alcohol ? for Xmas ?

Not keen on peaty scotch, so it's a bottle of The Inverarity for me, bought from the whisky shop in Invararay. Worth it just for the drive. If this cold keeps hanging about, it'll be cheap whisky to go in a Rusty Nail with Drambuie. Wine-wise, some Argento Malbec, and for Christmas dinner, some Chateauneuf du Pape. A couple of bottles of Heidsieck Gold Top Monopole for New Year's Eve fizz. Plus large amounts of various beers in between.

Edit: As an irrelevant aside, Chateauneuf du Pape is the perfect exclamation.

Bloke 1: Your leg's fallen off.
    Bloke 2: Chateauneuf du Pape!

    See?

    Yanky doodle piss water.

go get a proper bottle of russian standard.

put it in the freezer along with the shot glass. Drink it like the russians do (to excess).

Or realise that vodka is just unflavoured mouth wash, and go buy a bottle of Sipsmith Gin.
